Vintage Dreams Jewellery Collection

I have been playing around with new ideas for my next jewellery collection, the last one was all about Pre-Raphaelites, very colourful and almost regal. I wanted my next collection to be more dreamy and of course, very old and vintage looking. I chose art nouveau style settings and findings for my cabouchon surrounds, and purchased tiny glass magnifying cabouchons to mount my images to.
The vintage images were mounted to the glass with Diamond Glaze to give an aged, cackled look to the photo's, unfortunately the glass is quite difficult to photograph so I am sorry that these photo's do not really show the real beauty of the pieces. The rings (sample above) look gorgeous on and can be adjusted to fit most finger sizes.

The necklace settings are so pretty and perfectly compliment the images, they close with a barrel and clasp setting and the metal is rhodium plated brass.

I'm busy trying to get this collection finished ready for my last big Christmas Fayre this weekend in Eastbourne. It is being held at the Cavendish Hotel on the seafront from 10am until 4pm. All items at this Fayre are handmade from local artists and crafters so shoppers should find some lovely unique Christmas Gifts for loved ones.

The brooch below has been made up of several brass findings and then finished off with a beautiful mermaid cameo that I've been wanting to use for several months now.

I'm also in the process of completing my Victoriana Fabric Brooch Collection which I will showcase here sometime later this week. I'm really quite excited about this Collection, each brooch is made using vintage lace, silk, buttons and other findings and they have a real Victorian Romantic feel about them, so watch this space for more details!

These are gorgeous Mandy. But then everything you do is. You've outdone yourself this time.

Mandy-
I'm loving the look the magnifying glass gives to the faces. You should try selling some of these pieces to galleries in the States sometime you know!
Happy Holidays!

What a wonderful piece! I'm graduated in Sculpture, yet I never practiced. My works in metal and tapestry have a lot in common with these forms. Thanks for sharing, and congratulaions on your work!

Seen you at Etsy, and by the way thank you for making me a fave. :)

cheers!
