A Return to Artist Trading Cards

I've been having a tidy of saved images of my previous artworks and I came across lots of ATCs that I created over the past four years, I had lots of fun going through them and remembering some that I had created.
Here are three that I created about two years ago, seeing them has given me a renewed interest in ATCs, I need to get creating these little works of art again I think.

What with a nasty sickness bug that has recently gone round our family, as well as the arrival of our new puppy, I haven't had much time for creating, but I'm getting withdrawal symptoms and need to get back to it soon, so hopefully I'll have some new bits to show you within the next few days.

Our New Arrival!

Yesterday my hubby collected the new addition to our family.... Oscar!! He's a Cockapoo (Cocker Spaniel and Poodle cross), and is just like a little teddy bear!!
He and the kids have bonded beautifully, he has such a lovely nature and just wants attention all the time.... the kids love him.

As we expected, our first night was a challenge!!! lol!! We have a cage for him to sleep in at night and there was alot of whining when we first went off to bed, which kept hubby and I awake, but eventually he seemed to settle down and the next thing we knew it was 5am and he had obviously just woken up and wanted some attention!!

Today the fun starts...... the kids are at school and toilet training has begun, even though not very successfully!! So far the puppy training pads that are meant to encourage puppies to pee on have not had the same affect on Oscar, he seems to think it's a bed and has been happily enjoying carrying it around and placing it in spots he wants to sleep in, he then lays down the pad and falls asleep on top of it!!!

I know where toilet training is concerned perseverance and patience is the key, so off I go to try again with him.......watch this space!

41 Today!!

Yikes, another year, another number!!! Had a lovely day with family yesterday, thanks Mum and Dad for a super Birthday Lunch!! Just got back from a treat at the Beauty Salon courtesy of my wonderful hubby and am eagerly awaiting the arrival of my Birthday Gift... a gorgeous puppy who'll be arriving with us this Wednesday, so look out for lots of photos!

Perfect Mothers Day Gifts

A selection of my handmade perfumed pillows are now available on my Website. Special Edition Mothers Day Sachets are on offer as well as some cheeky sachets, a few examples are shown here.
Each sachet is handmade using fabric scraps, vintage lace, buttons and embellishments. The images on each sachet are printed onto cotton paper, some with slogans.

The sachets are filled with various dried flowers to include Lavender, Hibiscus, Heather and Passion Flower. They are wonderful to use in your lingerie draws or airing cupboards, giving off a lovely scent.

They make wonderful gifts for Birthdays, Mothers Day, or even Bridesmaids Gifts. I will be offering these on a regular basis so please check my website for news styles.

As some of you may be aware, I recently took part in the One World One Heart Blog Giveaway and the winner of my giveaway, Jasmine, has informed me that she will be donating her winnings to Made 4 Aid. This is the first time I have heard of this Charity site and I was so excited to find out more about it as I enjoy helping to raise money for charity, having recently organised the "Handmade for Haiti" Event at my local Oxfam where I volunteer, plus other money raising projects in the past.

Freshly Caught Mermaids Available Now!!

Roll up, roll up.... Freshly caught Mermaids now available at my Maygreen Shop! Be quick they'll be snapped up and I'm not sure when I'll get out to sea again to catch the next lot!!

Here are just three of the little beauties available, there are another three at the shop also, totalling six available. All are mounted onto cardstock and make great wall decorations, they are a real talking point. Or alternatively give them as gifts, they will definitly brighten up someone's day.

Each Mermaid's fin has been printed onto acetate to give a lovely transparant look to it, and each bottle has a tag with different messages on it such as: Bottled Mermaid, Do Not Shake!; Bottled Mermaid, Do Not Tap On The Glass, Bottled Mermaid, Handle With Care!.
