A Crafty Good Friday

Happy Easter to all my readers!!! Well it's Good Friday, the kids are packed off to Grandma and Grandpa's and I am having some well earned craft time. Hubby has gone off to the Gym and then to do the weekly food shop (yes I know! Lucky aren't I!!), the house is quiet with just me and Oscar, the new Puppy asleep at my feet. I have a Spirit Jump piece to complete for a very brave lady battling Cancer. If you are not familiar with Spirit Jump, please check it out here!

Karen, the lady I am creating this Spirit Jump for, has been battling Pancreatic Cancer for the last year. She comes from Florida, USA, but now lives in Indiana, and is a single Mother to a fifteen year old daughter.

The Spirit Jump request has come from her Niece, who describes her Aunt as a woman of amazing strength.

I worked on a small collage piece for Karen today, I knew from her Niece's description, some of Karen's passions, one being gardening, so I put together a floral piece entitled "Love Never Ends". (The title is at the top of this piece but unfortunately as it is very faintly printed it did not come out in this photo so well, my apologies!)

The collage is now packaged up and ready to post off to Karen tomorrow, hopefully it will momentarily lift her spirits during what must be very difficult times for her and her family.
