Where Bloggers Create 2012

It is wonderful to be a part of another Where Bloggers Create Party... I am so sorry that my post is late, but I have had some technical difficulties with my email which has required all my attention, so the photographs I'm afraid are a little rushed and not to my normal standard... but at least I've got something posted.
My Studio operates out of my home in the UK Sussex Countryside.  The Studio room doubles as a family room for my husband and twin boys, we create, play, watch TV and the kids have movie nights in this room, we keep our main living room as more of a winter room with it's cosy fire and warm tones.
The Studio is a very bright and airy room with views over our front garden.  It is a work in progress as their are still some decor ideas that I have not yet put into practice in this room, but we'll get there.  My desk sits in the bay window overlooking the garden, I use upturned apple crates for storage either side of the desk with my favoured old typewriter on top of one of the carts.
This room was originally a kitchen when we first moved in, however we redesigned the downstairs and moved the kitchen to another room, but the old larder space still remains behind a small door so I use this as a storage room for my many art materials, books, magazines and props.  I love my Studio space it is a pretty space to work in and very inspiring.  Again, apologies for the short post but if you've now got the bug to look at studio spaces then please visit the organisors blog for links to more wonderful workrooms.

More on the Skincare Range!

I spent a lovely day yesterday with Anna, the talented creator of these fabulous products, as you may have read in my previous post, I designed the labels for this range and yesterday Anna invited me to help her style a product display at a Fair in Rye where she was selling the range.

So in keeping with the "vintage" feel of the product design, I went with lots of old lace, a vintage trunk, old music sheet paper rolled and tied with string, some old books for the products to stand on and a few of my lavender cushions to compliment the range.
Anna brought along her wooden display boxes to raise some of the products up, as well as some old floral dictionaries  and pretty vintage cake display stands for her scrumptious heart shaped soaps.

The finished look was gorgeous with lots of customers ohhing and ahhing over the display and the product range.  If you would like more information on Anna's Exclusive Products please contact me via email.  I am planning to have an open house sometime in the Autumn to showcase the range to visitors local to my hometown so please again contact me if you would like to be made aware of when this will take place.

Luxurious Skincare Range with a Vintage Look!

I am very proud and excited to unveil the label designs I created for a range of Aromatherapy Skin Care Products.  The designs have been a few months in the making as the product range continues to grow, but it was wonderful for me to finally see the products on display at the Wealden Fair last week.
The talented designer of the products themselves; Anna Banks, first met with me at the Christmas Wealden Fair last November, here we spoke about the possibility of me creating the labels for her products in a vintage style, and now here they are in all their glory.  The vintage design of the labels is complimented beautifully by the stunning bottles that hold the products, Anna spent alot of time sourcing just the right bottles for her range, and I think they are absolutely stunning.
I have been lucky enough to sample some of Anna's Product Range, in particular the Facial Aromatherapy Oils, Flower Waters and Foot Creams and I'm hooked... infact, Anna, if you read this post I need to purchase some more!!
Currently the product range includes Facial Oils, with essential oil ingredients such as Patchouli, Neroli, Frankincense, Ylang Ylang, Rosewood and Damask Rose.  The gorgeous Flower Waters are available in Rose, Rose & Orange, Rose & Geranium, Ylang Ylang & Lavender, Pure Organic Orange and Pure Organic Lavender.  There is also a very special Flower Water in the form of Manuka Honey, which has healing properties.

The fabulous Foot Creams are a real treat with ingredients of Patchouli & Lavender, Frankincense & Myrrh with Sandalwood, Rosemary, Lemon & Lavender, Chamomile & Mandarin, Mint Leaf & Lavender, and Manuka Honey.  More products will be added to the range to include Face Masks and Hand Creams.  Currently Anna sells her range through the Violetta Boutique in Rye.  If you would like more information on her products please do not hesitate to contact me and I will put you in touch with Anna.

Mid Summer (or should I say Mud Summer) Fair!

This years Wealden Mid Summer Fair was held at Hole Park Gardens in the lovely village of Rolvenden, Kent.  Sadly the weather had not been kind leading up to the Fair so the field in which the Fair was held was particularly muddy which made for an interesting "Set-Up" Day, trudging boxes and props through the mud into the marquees, but as usual us British did not let the weather get us down and within a few hours each stand was made up and looking fabulous.
I stuck with my recent set-up style of shabby, pink and whimsical, above is a shot of my little corner of magic at the Fair.  Below are the stunning net skirts I had for sale this year, a new addition to the Maygreen Fairies stock, created by my Sister under her Boutique name "Isabella Rose".
I just love my vintage screen, it adds such a pretty backdrop to the stand, here is the main table in all it's glory!  Lots to rummage through and see....
This year my Fairy Jars were a huge success, I had to go home on the first evening and create more as I had sold out in the first day!  If you are interested in the Jars they can be purchased in my Website Shop, and I do offer Bespoke Jars where I can alter a photo of a family member into a "Bottled Fairy" for a special gift.
Below, lots of loveliness in the form of my Jewellery; Whimsical Alice in Wonderland Brooch Pendants, pretty floral rings and Fairy Necklaces.
As always I had an abundance of Luxury Gift Tags which are always very popular, and this time something for the boys too....
A big thank you to all the lovely customers who came by and said hello, it was lovely to meet you and see some of my regulars.  Now, I'm back home it's back to the drawing board to conjure up more goodies for the next fair... hope to see you there!

I'm Ready! Well as Ready as I'll ever be!!

Well I'm all packed up and ready to go.... It's "set-up" day for the Wealden Mid Summer Fair tomorrow and I've spent most of today packing everything together to take to the Fair and also finishing off a few collages that will be one of a kind pieces for sale.
I adore the little girls snail hat above, thought it matched perfectly with her outfit, although she doesn't seem that happy about wearing it does she!!  This collage "Perfumes & Notions" will be available at the fair as will "Dear One" pictured below.
I will have some altered books available too, as well as all my usual whimsical goodies, so do drop by and say hello.  I know we've had some awful weather recently so why not cheer yourself up and spend a day at the Fair, all stalls are under tented cover with wooden floorboards so no cold, wet, soggy stalls just lots of loveliness, hope to see you there!
